It will take you to The Moth’s website. You’ll see a list of story pitches. The Moth is all about storytelling, and it’s incredible.
The Moth is an acclaimed not-for-profit organization dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. It is a celebration of both the raconteur, who breathes fire into true tales of ordinary life, and the storytelling novice, who has lived through something extraordinary and yearns to share it. At the center of each performance is, of course, the story – and The Moth’s directors work with each storyteller to find, shape and present it. [taken directly from their site]
My dear friend Alexandra recently appeared in the Wisconsin show and met Molly Ringwald. She told her story about her father’s suicide. I wish I could have been there, but soon her performance will be on YouTube where we can all watch.
My pitch is posted on 4/26/12 under Erin M. and the title is “The Man in the Tight Corduroy Shorts.” Please listen (it’s only 60 seconds) and vote for me. **TO VOTE: CLICK ON THE STARS BY MY PITCH!!** I’ll have a chance to tell my story live and on stage in front of an audience.
