If you missed it, you can watch the LTYM Kansas City show here (along with hundreds of others) on the Listen To Your Mother YouTube Channel. My fellow cast members’ videos astound me. They’re all rockstars with incredible stories to share. I was proud and honored to work alongside each and every one of them.

It’s been a crazy few weeks, I’m exhausted, and honestly? My video speaks for itself. Please take a peek and share if you’re so inclined.

I still can’t believe I got to be a part of all this. It was a dream come true.

      Inner Chick,

Nope, did not submit this (or anything) to Precipice this year. Deadline approached too quickly and I’ve been sooo ridonkulously busy I haven’t had time to do much real writing. I felt I had nothing to submit….maybe next year! Thanks so much for watching & commenting!

Thank you for sharing your performance. I went to the SF LTYM and was blown away. You did an amazing job as well, and I’m already planning on sitting in front of the computer checking out all the others. xo

I confess I haven’t done as great job of watching as I’d hoped…. (yet)…but there’s still time. Busy w/ BlogHer prep, Gay Dad Project, and just LIFE. oy. But eventually….I will get through them…and keep sharing them….

Erin, I remember reading the bones of this piece on your blog. What an amazing revision and a wonderful performance. She must have been so proud of you. I know I am.

They were very bare bones…and a picture of me in that dress…and I never thought I’d ever flesh it out and be able to read it from a stage. It was an honor and a privilege, and I hope you’ll get to apply to either host a show or audition for a show near you next season. BANNING BAR MITZVAHS DURING LTYM SEASON! LOL

    amazing speech, E.
The first part was hard for me to get through. I don’t take lithium for bi-polar…yet. and my situation isn’t as extreme as Grandma Betty, but the fear is similar, and I’m sure my kids and your mom could share some stories.
I’m very proud of how fearless you are speaking in public.

What a powerful story. I can only imagine how strong your Mom must be. Beautifully written and told.
