I Am Erin.

Today’s prompt over at Jana’s Thinking Place for SOC Sunday is perfect: I Am ___(fill in this blank)______.

I am Erin. I am a writer.

Some days I’m not sure who I am aside from that simple answer. And I don’t think the answer is easy for anyone, whether they choose to admit it or not.

I’m a dreamer, a mother, a wife and a sister.

I am a lover, a baker, a people watcher. I’m a souvenir buyer.

I am the daughter of a gay dad and a straight mom.

I am a reader; I am an Amazon addict.

I am titanium. I am bulletproof.

I am a documentary maker. I’m a going-out-on-a-limb-er.

I am part of a trifecta. I am speaking out.

I am becoming a doer & a shake-my-money-maker.

I am taking a stand (recognizing my privilege & sharing my power).

I am not perfect.

I am a mistake maker. I am an apologizer, a drifter, a collider, a note writer.

I am a worker bee.

I am a flower.

I am standing on the stage, asking you to listen.

I am here.

I am a fighter.

I am quiet, taking it all in.

Until one day I am a lion.

I am going to ROAR.
